East Can Transport is a privately owned, for hire carrier, based in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The company started business on April 1, 1991, with one truck and has since grown to a fleet of over 60 trucks and trailers. We provide service in two main areas of the trucking business, being a flatbed/stepdeck operation as well as the auto carrier service.

Our stepdeck division provides service for the transportation of oil and gas equipment, as well as anything that can fit on a flatbed or stepdeck trailer, providing for over‑dimensional loads, tarping, and special securing. We currently specialize in a weekly service of oil and gas equipment between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, to and from Texas and Louisiana.

Our auto carrier division, transports vehicles of all sizes. Our specially design auto carriers have a load capacity of up to 10 vehicles per load, and are all equipped with factory designed tie-downs for properly securing the vehicles. Our unique enclosed auto transporters are an ideal way to transport the special interest, or high value autos. It is also available for dedicated use for auto shows and exhibits.

All units are licensed and insured to operate throughout Canada and the United States. All drivers are qualified and extremely efficient with handling freight and automobiles. All trucks are equipped with satellite tracking and communications capability, which enables us to locate your shipment at any time.
